Our Story
2023
The Vision Takes Shape
Before officially founding EarthNWe, Kalyan Gohain and Manash J Konwar began working on their vision of a retail company that would blend Modern design keeping traditions intact leveraging modern innovation. They spent this year researching sustainable materials, visiting manufacturing plants across Assam, and sketching out their first concepts. The groundwork was laid for what would soon become EarthNWe.
2024
EarthNWe is Born
In the heart of Guwahati, Kalyan and Manash officially launched EarthNWe. Despite the challenges of quitting their high paying jobs and becoming financially handicapped, they remained committed to their vision of creating high-quality, sustainable furniture & decor. Their first small collection of minimalists, handcrafted pieces was produced locally, setting the tone for EarthNWe's dedication to both craftsmanship and sustainability.
2024
First collection and Early Success
EarthNWe introduced its debut collection to the world with 30 SKUs via their online store. The collection gained attention for its refined design and eco-conscious approach. The positive reception helped EarthNWe to win its first Grandstand Award in a National level exhibition BAIC 2024 and it soon became the talk of the city among recognized Interior Designers from across India. The company also began its own manufacturing unit with a team of 10 artisans and soon came up with new designs and increased their portfolio to 150+ SKUs.
Their D2C channel also started revenue for them, and it was growing its revenue month on month by almost 10x

Ready to take over India
With its supply chain sorted and new team members joining EarthNWe, Kalyan and Manash feel they are ready to conquer the Indian market with their intricate designs and impressive craftmanship by always making sure to remain fresh and innovative with their designs.

Kalyan Gohain
Kalyan Gohain has over 16+ years of experience in the field of design, marketing and sales & marketing. Throughout his career he has given his best for achieving professional excellence and his positions at IFB and Crompton has been best examples for the same. His love for designing products and finding the right market for it to sale has always been his motivation and EarthNWe's vision provides him numerous options to remain dedicated towards this goal.
At EarthNWe, he undersees the execution side of things. From working day in day out with our fellow artisans, overseeing product quality, packaging and providing our customers with warmth and gratitude, he creates a very humble and positive environment in our corporate office and holds the position of CEO.
His dedication to pushing the boundaries of what furniture and decor can startle the market is really commendable and he is the key to our strong supply chain and customer support.
Sudipta P.B.
Sudipta Pran Bhattacharyya has over 13 years of experience in the field of software development. An Alumnus of the prestigoius Assam Engineering College and an ex-Accenture professional, he had throughout his career helped many D2C startups setup and scale their IT infrastructure. He is currently the C.T.O. of a leading fashion D2C brand, which had previously secured a five-shark deal on SHARK TANK India season 3.
He joined EarthNWe as a co-founder in 2024, bringing in his vast experience in ecommerce to the team. He currently serves as an advisor in IT operations.
His vision is to grow EarthNWe's online presence both in domestic and international markets, making it a global leader in the D2C domain.
Manash J Konwar
Manash J Konwar has more than a decade long experience streamlining AI products and is an avid researcher by heart. Before founding EarthNWe his work experience with Accenture AI Labs & Mark Ops Teams, Tridiagonal Solutions and Xoriant have been greatly valued by him. His love for solving business problems using technology and innovation have always been his motivation and driving force. Moreover, his expertise in multiple business domains like retail, CPG and marketing have always made him to think customer first.
At EarthNWe, he oversees operations, technology and digital marketing side of things. His day starts with following up on marketing & content strategies that are in place and also working with the digital marketing team to optimize it better and ends with working with lot of business workflows & automations by leveraging technology to make the brand more visible. Currently he holds a dual leadership role of COO and CTO for EarthNWe.
His motivation towards building the next big thing is always on check and he keeps leveraging technology to reach fulfill our marketing and operational proficiency.
Risha Sarmah
Risha Sarmah is a passionate social media marketer and PR enthusiast with a background in Mass Communication and a diploma in PR and Advertising. Currently interning at Earthnwe, she enjoys creating engaging content and building meaningful connections between brands and their audiences.
Her journey includes valuable experiences in PR and social media, which have shaped her creativity and organizational skills. Outside of work, Risha loves exploring cultures, writing poetry, and dreaming of new adventures.
